Can I scan slide film and black and white negatives?

Yes. The scanners handle color negative, black and white negative and slide film. For slides, and for very thin or very dense negatives, switch to semi automatic mode: you set the distance between two frames once, and the scanner advances by exactly that distance for the rest of the roll.
